Is there a home remedy to prevent a white cat's hair of getting yellow?

I have a white and gray cat. It gets wet under his chin when drinking water, so a yellow spot has developed there.

Water stains white cat fur yellow, here is a trick that I use on my white show cat. Once a day get the stained fur completely wet with Hydrogen Peroxide 3% (You can find it at the grocery store or drug store, it's in a brown bottle) then pack the wet fur with cornstartch. Just let it dry. Over time it will return to a bright white color. Cornstartch works well to keep the skin dry between bleaching.

Some people also teach their cat how to drink from a rabbit bottle, it takes some time to do this but it would prevent the cat from getting it's chin wet in the first place. Good Luck!

Well hopefully your cats still young enough to get used to the feeling of (warm) water. You can get one of those shampoos that helps keep your cats fur white.

Dye his chin gray. I had a black and white cat and he had a black spot on his chin. Looked like a goatee.
