I am naturally blonde and have been going to hairdressers for a long time now and getting bleached to try and achieve platinum colour but they all seem to think that light blond is platinum when it isn't so I can never seem to get it to the shade I really want. I am wondering how to (preferrably DIY) get my hair to the colour of christina aguilera/gwen stefani I would say at the moment my shade is very similiar to elisha cuthbert's. I already use toners at home but that doesn't lighten it more just keeps it from going brassy. Thanks for any help!

Buy a box of platimun hair color and follow the instructions.
It should work.
The trick to keeping platinum though is using violet toned shampoo and conditioner. They keep your hair light.
You can buy them at any beauty supply store or salon.

bleach with 40vol twice,it will go a very light blonde,then get a toner,that will take away the yellow nd leave it white-ish.
