HEAVY FOIL....it will look like an all over and yes, a blue or violet BASED toner will work. BE CAREFUL....a toner like that may "grab" on your already light, damaged areas and you will have to use a clarifying shampoo to remove the base color and just get to the actual "tone" of the color. Def. go to a salon. Find a stylist that has a good reputation for blonde. This is something you can't do "on the cheap."

I agree with Alan. A good violet-based toner will cut that orangy look you're getting. Ask your stylist about platinum toners.
