I constantly vacuum, the hair sticks in the carpet. I also have hard wood floors when I sweep it flies all over the place. I try to mop the floors after I sweep and the hair I didn't see when I swept, sticks to the floor. It's the time of the year they shed for their winter coats. I wish I could just shave her but she may not get it back. Thanks for any help you can give.. Ps. I brush her every day.

A good vacuum with a good beater bar, to be honest. I went out and bought a canister (better than upright) with the biggest motor I could get and it works great. I never sweep, you're right it just flies everywhere. plus I have hardwood floors so sweeping isn't a good idea for them.

It's the upright, trust me. A canister really does work better in case you've never had one. Plus the size motor on it is a big factor. With all the animals I have I know how you feel, but hair stuck in the carpet isn't a problem here anymore. For a better food, that's smart thinking on your part. Firstly, the vacuum needs to have a carpet attachment. It is like a brush that rolls around the inside and believe me, if it's working properly it will get that hair up.

Second, you shouldn't sweep the hard wood floors, you should vacuum it on the floor setting.

Third, you may be brushing your dog all the time, but if you're not actually PULLING a tremendous amount of fur from her then it will all just eventually end up in your house. A new brush could solve this problem. Get the Furminator (http://www.furminator.com/). It is pricey but it is the best brush ever invented. You will not regret it, it will pull all that fur off of your dog which you can then put in the garbage or a bag. You'll be amazed.

I saw a product in Bed Bath and Beyond (and I guess it is an infomercial) that seems logical enough. It is a big adhesive that you stick to something and it pulls off the hair. It is called StickySheet. I don't know if it is the right one for you, but thought I would chime in.

A beater bar in the carpets works well as does the skinny nozzle attachments for getting hair off the hardwood. It gets them before they fly away and it gets them along the baseboards. Sweeping just pushes them around.

Another alternative are the dampened swiffer type mops or even a damp paper towel run along the floor. I have one dog that likes being vacuumed with the upholstery attachment!

The Furminator is just a clipper brush put on a handle.

..so, yesterday I bleached it, then added a light ash blonde, and it still had alot of orange in it, so I put bleach in it again and it STILL has annoying orange tones! I have been deep conditioning religiously with various masks. I've heard that Manic Panic Virgin Snow is really good to work with. Has anyone been in the same situation/advice please? Thanks!

Orange is one of the colors you need to pass to get to that white blonde shade. If you're still getting orange color, you haven't bleached your hair enough. Continue with the deep conditioning masks everyday, let your hair rest for two weeks and try it again. You might also want to saturate your hair with a deep conditioner every night and sleep with a shower cap and towel wrapped around your head to get the most benefit from the conditioner.

BTW. . .If you truly ruin your hair, you won't have to "cut it all off". . .it will break off all by itself. I hope you get the shade you want this next time. Good luck!

It's just one of those things and it's nothing to do with stress. Stress brings on alopecia, not white hair! Other issues that might be raised: are you under a lot of stress? Worry? Try stress management.

Do you have a whole MOUTHFUL of silver amalgam fillings in your teeth? They cause galvanic action (create electric current like a series of batteries) in some people and various forms of nerve damage can be experienced.

Test them with an electronic meter. If you find CURRENT on the meter, you should get the fillings replaced with the white plastic fillings.

Hello. I have been searching the internet for weeks for images of women with beautiful, natural, very curly or "kinky" hair. Most glamour magazines are devoid of such images. Most searches reveal big, easy-to-manage, wavy locks--not what I am looking for.

Many of the styles today require excesses of money and time--and hair that belongs to someone else in most cases (i.e. extensions).

I have very curly hair, and believe it is possible to wear styles that have movement, are sexy and easy--styles that reaffirm how beautiful curls can be. I hope that anyone with tight curls, no matter their ethnicity, would be interested and could contribute a pic or link to share amongst the curly haired women of the world.

I have 2 cats, one white/grey mixed and one black. The dark cat is not really a problem to my white clothes, but the white one just makes me tick. Every dark clothes I have there's 'fuzzies' and alot of hair on them. I tried using tape over and over to get them out but it does not work at all.

Also, what makes a cat shed hair alot??

Spring shedding is to lose the thick winter coat, and fall shedding occurs prepares for growing a new warm coat. Indoor cats tend to shed year-round because we leave our lights on in the home until late, and on irregular cycles so the cat閳ユ獨 system is tricked into thinking the seasons are always changing.

Alright, I used to put up my mohawk like this so here's experience talking-

Dry-otherwise it will turn white.

Tips-have a friend help you with the hairdryer, lay on your side on a bed and have him/her blowdry for at least 10 min. from both sides while you hold it trying to keep it as positioned as possible.

When your ready to wash-make sure you have a really good shampoo and be prepared to scrub under hot water for a LONG while-it will get sticky and gross before it gets better.

I use it after I have towel dried my hair. It dries clear. Remember what you learned in kindergarten - a little dab'll do ya. It helps to hold your head upside down and smooth into shape until it dries.

Personally I prefer knox unflavored gelatin to get my hair up there. It's a little easier to get out. Make it a little thicker than usual and apply while it's luke- warm (but not hot). Again, hold your head upside down and smooth into shape until it dries.

That same thing happens to me, i am 14 and i find gray hair randomly, not all in one place (i have dark brown hair), but actually it is more silvery and really course. May depend on what the other half of your hubby is. I am a full blooded Indian and have 3 children from 2 marriages. My kids are all fair skinned (like north Indians), have dark brown hair, one with auburn highlights, one with blond highlights, one has hazel eyes and two have light brown eyes. Both hubbies were light blond with blue eyes.

BTW all my kids are gorgeous, one is a model (he was scouted) and it is very hard to tell what their background is, they often get mistaken for Italian, Greek, Spanish, South American, Arab, but very rarely Indian/Dutch/English which is what they are. Your baby will be stunning. Good luck.

I think your baby with have brown/ black hair with copper tones and maybe a few freckles. I think he/ she will have very light pale indian skin. More like a mixed raced child. Unfortunatly there is no dye for silver. The closest you can get is to go to a salon and ask them to color it an 11v or 11b or it could be a 12 v or 12b but that will make it a cool blond. You could use a shampoo for blonds like So Silver from Matrix but it will only take the brassy out.

I dye mine. Not everyone is fortunate enough to grey gracefully. My grey simply makes my mousey brown hair more dull-looking that it was. At the point when my hair is more white than brown, I will give the natural look a try. I may still leave it long and be a little old lady with a bun in my hair.

If you have some curl to your hair, Biolage makes an awesome product called Curl Defining Creme- its light and you can scrunch it in wet and/or dry. If you are blow drying, make sure you use a diffuser.... Then lightly mist with hairspray and scrunch again, again and again. Biolage can be bought in salons and is not expensive at all- in Canada, 16$ or so a bottle. If you don't have any curl, try a Root Booster ( by Kiwi) and Hot Rollers and a thermal active spray (Biolage has one as well). After your rollers, try a curling iron.

Not only does it help with that, it really helps if you use mousse and gel and or hairspray alot. I use it once every two to three months. and it leaves your hair soft.

Trick: wash your hair first, pour about a cup or so on your head ( I usually just pour right out of the bottle) massage it all through your hair. (If you have a shower/tub Turn the shower off so you have the pressure running through the tub spout and not the shower head) rinse it really really good. (Going back to the shower part now) Then wash your hair at least two more times. Condition it and style.

You might have some smell of vinegar, but only if you sweat a lot. I have asked my co workers and they haven't smelled it on me at all.

Ok let's say I am a normal person with a history of dreams that come true, or which give information on events that have already taken place. I have already worked with police on one case. But it's not something I normally do. But it has happened.

So now let's say I suddenly have a dream about a person (I have his full name) and I see that this person was a prominent politico. Let's say I see him committing heinous crimes with the help of local law enforcement. Let's say I've never heard of this person before, but wake up remembering his name and distinctly remembering his appearance...

Now let's say I google the fella and his name pops up, he's in prison for similar crimes to what I dreampt of, (but not this exact one) and I see his picture, which matches exactly what he looked like in the dream.

It seems to me, based on past experience, that there is a crime victim somewhere, possibly a body which needs to be found. And this man should be investigated as a possible suspect. But none of that can happen unless and until I at least find out who the victim is, right?

So here are the major points as relates to this crime/dream:

The victim was a white, 15 year old female. She had sandy blond hair, she was about 5'2 to 5'4, slighly heavy. Wearing teenage-like makeup. Perhaps blue or green eyes. Wearing a light colored jean jacket, and light blue jeans, torn.

She was out late at night, around midnight. Seems like she might have been a runaway. Seems like her parents didn't know where she was at that point. She's hanging out on a bridge with a friend. She is possibly on drugs. Someone abducts her, rapes and strangles her. All of this happens in or around 1985. I believe it might have happened in the Ohio area.

That's all I have to go on. Certain elements of this dream have repeated themselves over and over the past few days. If anyone has any information on this, or knows of a way I can research it, please do let me know.

I hope the whole thing is just a stupid dream. But inasmuch as I can tell, it doesn't seem to be just that. Ideas welcomed.
