If I want my white and brown hair to become blond and brown, what can I use on it?

Can I put some blond color on it that will color the greys but leave the browns more or less alone. I've been using Wella Color Charm permanent gel, medium ash blond, base green, and it turns out medium brown. If I use pale ash blond, it dyes it all a brassy blond. I'd like it a little lighter, not a one-tone bleachout, and no triple process with highlights and all.

Can I try a blond shade and leave it in for 5 minutes instead of 25 or 30?

okay Color takes 25-30 minutes because it opens up the cuticle of your hair, takes the old pigment out, deposits the new pigment and closed the cuticle. if you dont leave it on for the whole time it wont do all those things. Thats with like 20 Volume developer.

You can easily change the tone of your hair, which is the exciting part! Sounds like you are a level 10 or 11(white blonde) So you need a demi permanent color, which you will mix with a 10(ish) volume developer or acid color ... looks like water. this will deposite the color ONLY no lit. so when you see the color you like you can wash it out. you can only go darker with this method...But being a 10 or 11... anything is darker. You can add the gold tones back in... really anything! good luck and have fun, this was always my favorite part!

P.S. This wont change the color of the brown if the color you choose is lighter.

I don't dye my hair and have a lot of knowledge about dying hair, but your question is making thinking. One thing I do know is I like to see some people with white and brown hair. One of my friends has that color, and he looks good with it. He also has a thick hair. It looks sophisticate on him.

Dye it man

There are many choices of hair dye for roots and touch-ups that come with a comb, so you can take like a light-golden brown color that looks like it will match the brown, and dye the white parts. Don't choose something really light or really dark, something like a golden-tan-brown maybe.

These come with little comb/application tools and there are tons of brands now that have them.

DON'T walk away just because most have a woman's picture on the front- it's the "sex sells" technique, anybody can use them.
